Harvest Community Church Purpose Statement
The purpose of the congregation of Harvest Community Church is twofold: to worship God in Spirit and in Truth and to win our community and world to Jesus Christ.
Welcome
Harvest Community Church was born out of a vision of the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Blackshear to reach Brantley County with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ by planting a new mission church. This vision was unanimously approved by the congregation of EBC in November of 2006. Then after a season of prayer God brought a pastor for the mission church in November of 2007. The mission pastor along with the pastor and leadership of EBC began to work diligently in an effort to get the mission church started. Soon after beginning the task to establish the church it was given the name Harvest Community Church based on what our Lord said in John 4:35 “say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh the harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white already unto harvest.”
